Incident report

On July 19 Steve Woods (24) was exploring in Crabtree Cave near the Savage Rapids Dam. At a point some 4000 feet from the entrance he suffered a ten foot fall. Once authorities (fire and rescue squads, Maryland State Police) were alerted, it took three hours to evacuate the victim, mainly due to the constricted entrance.
