A group of five cavers was exploring in Wayne's Lost Cave near Bloomington, Indiana. In the RPI passage, one caver began a five foot climb over a breakdown slab; another caver, Jeff Woolever (30), began to traverse a narrow walking height crevice beneath this slab. Suddenly the upper caver dislodged a 200 to 250 pound rock which fell five feet, striking Woolever on the left thigh, knocking him to the wall. He was carried to a flat area and checked for injury. After a short recovery, he left the cave under his own power.
Jeff Woolever was struck by a dislodged rock during a caving expedition in Wayne's Lost Cave.
