At about 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, Bart Hudson (25) and David Hopingardner (24) entered Airman's Cave on Barton Creek near Austin, Texas. They only planned on a short visit but became lost. When they hadn't returned that evening their wives notified the authorities who contacted Bill Russell, the mapper of the cave. They were found thirty feet from the entrance, still lost, about 2 a.m. Sunday.
