Incident report
On September 1, 1915, C. W. Ferguson was killed instantly by a block of ice he poked loose from the ceiling of an ice cave in the Paradise Glacier. He was in a party of 17, guided by Harry Greer. Apparently against the instructions of Greer, Ferguson with his wife and two boys went ahead and entered a tunnel under the ice.
